Therapy for Anxiety
I provide integrative therapy for clients dealing with anxiety and overwhelm. I am experienced in supporting clients dealing with a generalized feeling of high anxiety, as well as clients who struggle with OCD, panic attacks, low self esteem and social anxiety.
In therapy we make space to explore the dynamics and events going on in your world that are fueling your anxiety. We can also draw from mindfulness based strategies for soothing the nervous system and managing difficult emotions, as well as cognitive behavioral strategies, including ERP and I-CBT, for managing and decreasing anxious thinking, panic attacks, obsessions and compulsions.
Client who work best with me tend to prefer that therapy offer a balance between skills and strategies for decreasing anxiety on the one hand, and support and emotional processing on the other. I am experienced in supporting highly sensitive and neurodivergent individuals who are dealing with anxiety and I support my clients in discovering their own definition of what affirmative treatment for anxiety looks like.
When anxiety is related to Trauma
I offer support for survivors of sexual trauma and attachment trauma. Therapy with me is always trauma informed.
