Couples Therapy
Did you recently move, change jobs, or have a baby, and now it feels like your relationship is off balance? Are you snapping at each other more than you used to? Having trouble making sure everyone’s needs are being met? Are you starting to feel resentful of each other? Has sex transformed from something fun and connective, to a minefield? Do you go to bed at night wondering if you’ll ever get your connection back?
Therapy can help. In couples therapy, we work from a curious and strengths-based perspective to cultivate trust, courage and intimacy in your relationship. We explore the structures of your world, as well as the nature of the interactions that have come to characterize your relationship. From there, we seek out new ways of communicating, connecting, healing, and creatively building the life you want.
In addition to offering a safe, contained space for you to explore your relationship, I draw from training in EFT for Couples, Gottman’s Bringing Home Baby, mindfulness based therapies, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. I am also experienced in supporting couples who are navigating a mental health diagnosis, such as an eating disorder, depression, or a perinatal mental health concern.
